As Fr. Daniel Hall, CSV, nears the end of his term as Provincial, he wanted to thank the people working behind the scenes who have helped him carry out the Viatorian mission: the Province Center staff.

“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you,” Fr. Hall said at a special lunch. “We have all worked well together and each of you has played an important role. I may be the one who signs off on things, but you are the ones who make it happen. It’s been a group effort.”

Fr. Hall has led the Province of Chicago since 2018 and he will turn over the leadership to Fr. Mark Francis, CSV, who will be installed Dec. 11 as Provincial.

The role of Provincial, first and foremost, entails serving as superior and pastor of the province, working to promote the spiritual life of Viatorians and the communities where they serve. But there are a myriad of administrative matters that come with the job and for that, Fr. Hall relied on his staff, most of whom have been in place for more than 10 years.

They include: Julia Carens, administrative assistant; Edin Chaver, buildings and grounds; Karen Cutler, special events; Eileen Daday, communications director; Lucianne DeMarco, bookkeeper; Faith Dussman, pension specialist; Dan Masterton, assistant vocations director; Noe Quiroga, buildings and grounds; Rebecca Skirvin, archivist; and Jim Thomas, chief financial officer.
