St. Anne Novena – July 26, 2012 – St. Anne, IL

St. Viator School Language Lab – March 15, 2012 – Chicago, IL

Last summer, St. Viator High School donated 26 desktop computers to St. Viator School in Chicago, which resulted in a new language lab. Las Posadas – Dec. 16, 2011

The traditional Mexican Posada procession of re-enacting Mary and Joseph searching for an inn, serves to heighten current day immigration issues. St. Viator Day 2011 Celebrations – Oct. 21, 2011 – Arlington Heights, Chicago, Las Vegas, Bogotá and Kyoto

Viatorians around the world celebrate their patron in many different ways. In Arlington Heights, Saint Viator High School students attend Mass before members of the Querbes Scholars program interview professed and lay associate Viatorians. In Chicago and Las Vegas, St. Viator parishes hold “Taste of St. Viator” festivals, celebrating the different cultures of parishioners. In Bogotá, Colegio San Viator students begin their day at Mass before heading outside for a parade.  While in Kyoto, Japan, students and parishioners celebrate the 60th anniversary of the school and parish founded by the Viatorians.To find out more read: From Bogota to Las Vegas to Chicago, Viatorians Honor Their Patron


50th anniversary of the Foundation of Colombia – Sept. 23, 2011 – Colegio San Viator, Bogotá, Colombia

Viatorians returned to Bogotá to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Foundation of Colombia. Fr. James Crilly, CSV, one of the three founding missionaries, returned for the milestone celebration. Viatorians from the Chicago/Arlington Heights Region remember the deceased priest and brothers during an annual trip to the cemetery on the anniversary of the death of Fr. Louis Querbes, founder of the religious order.

First time the annual Viatorian meeting is held in Las Vegas.  The theme of the meeting is “Ministry in the 21st Century.”  Includes tours of the three parishes where the Viatorians minister today in the Las Vegas-Henderson region.

Earthquake in Haiti – January 12, 2010

The main building of the Viatorians in Haiti is the Villa Manrèse located in Port-au-Prince.  Villa Manrèse was destroyed in the earthquake and at least five employees and two guests were killed at the facility.  Please keep the people of Haiti in your prayers!

Vocation Film – The Search

The Search, filmed in 1956, was used for vocation recruitment to encourage men to choose a religious career with the Clerics of St. Viator. The first three photographs show the making of the film, while the others in the collection document the premiere night of the film held in Chicago on November 9, 1956.
