Fr. Arnold E. Perham, C.S.V. died Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the age of 95. He was born November 16, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois. He is survived by his sister, Faustine, and preceded in death by his father and mother, Walter and Marie Perham, and his brother, James, and sister, Bernadette. He pronounced his first vows on August 15, 1948 and was ordained a priest on February 4, 1956.

Fr. Perham grew up in St. Viator Parish, Chicago, and graduated from St. Mel High School in Chicago. He earned a BS in mathematics from Loyola University Chicago, an MS in mathematics from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and an MA in theology from the University of Notre Dame. He taught at Cathedral Boys High School in Springfield, Illinois (1951-1952, 1956-1962), Loyola University Chicago (1968-1973), and Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois (1962-1968, 1973-2010). He also served as Director of Scholastics while teaching at Loyola.

Following retirement, Fr. Perham continued to volunteer at the Math Lab at Saint Viator High School. From 2020 to 2025, he also volunteered remotely by sending practice tests and study guides to members of the Math Club.

In community life, he was a faithful member of the retirement community at the Viatorian Province Center.

Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial was be held June 25, 2025 at the Viatorian Province Center chapel. Fr. Perham is interred at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
