St. Viator Catholic Community in Las Vegas is the only Catholic school in the state of Nevada that is fully inclusive, thanks to its Micah Program. Recently, parishioners reaffirmed their support in a big way.

After watching a video about the program in October, parishioners contributed more than $20,000, Fr. Richard Rinn, CSV.

“Your response to this collection was extraordinary,” Fr. Rinn said in a message in the bulletin.

School Principal Tracey Brunelle said the parish’s continued support allowed the school to bring in the son of an alumni who has cerebral palsy and is wheelchair bound.

“He loves being at St. Viator and has so many new friends,” Mrs. Brunelle says. “His favorite thing is playing four square at recess. He is a typical child who has to overcome challenges daily to enjoy typical tasks. Donations enable us to offer the labor, supplies and support they need daily.”

Students themselves expressed their gratitude in this follow-up video.
