The Viatorian Archives just received the new book titled Lest We Forget: Arlington Heights’ Korean War Veterans.  The articles in this book are written by students from Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights, IL under the direction of Mr. Bill Pirman and Rev. Dan Hall, CSV.

It is a collection of stories about the how the Korean War (1950-1953) impacted the lives of men and women from all walks of life and their ties to Arlington Heights.  Included are the stories of Carl Brandon, Tom Burkman, Robert Gerald Cunningham, Bob Holyoak, Richard Leuth, De Yip Louie, Wallace Luettschwager, Joe Lyon, John Meehan, Dr. Patrick Meekin, Jim Murray, Carm Notaro, Ronald Roy, Lawrence Schuetz, Bernard Scola, Robert Sidor, Donald Smith, Roger Steingraber and Memorial Park in Arlington Heights. 

This project was taken on during the school’s 50th anniversary year.  It is edited by Jim Mitchell and published by Synergetic Publications, Hendersonville, TN, 2011.
