A new series of podcasts this Lent examines a different aspect of Catholic social teaching each week. Narrated by Pre-Associate Dan Masterton, one of the latest episode examines the dignity and value of human life.

He begins by interviewing Fr. Mark Francis, CSV, Provincial, who shares some of his interactions with the late Cardinal Joseph Bernardin, Archbishop of Chicago from 1982 until his death in 1996.

A second part features administrators and Viatorians at Cristo Rey St. Viator College Prep in Las Vegas, discussing how their mission of making a quality, Catholic education accessible to young people of limited means, is another important aspect of Catholic social teaching.

In the final part of the 20-minute episode, Associate Mary Finks shares her years of experience in working in end of life hospice care and its role in advancing Catholic social teaching.
