While researching another topic in the St. Viator College collection, this tribute to Fr. James Cote was found in the March 1911 issue of the college newspaper, The Viatorian, on pp. 234-236.
This year, we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the Viatorians in the United States (1865-2015) from Canada. It is fitting that we honor the man who was instrumental in getting the Clerics of St. Viator to come to Bourbonnais, IL and who also was willingly to give up his pastorate at Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church for them.
