Fighting hunger is one of the core principles of the Viatorian charism — and by extension, that mission permeates the schools and parishes where Viatorians serve.

That was evident Saturday at Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep, in Waukegan, IL — which Viatorians have endorsed since the day it opened in 2004 — when students gave up their precious weekend time to come in and assemble meal kits for underserved parts of the world.

They worked with Rise Against Hunger, whose mission is end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies.
