Today we remember Fr. Louis Querbes, our founder, who entered eternal life on this day in 1859. A characteristic of his spirituality was an unwavering trust in God’s providence despite the many tragedies and obstacles with which he contended during his life.
May his vision of Providence inspire us — that as Viatorians, despite the bad news that besets us daily, we might maintain confidence and hope in Providence, and continue to share God’s love and mercy with those with whom we minister.
St. Viator, pray for us; Venerable Louis Querbes, inspire us; adored and loved be Jesus.
