The harsh immigration enforcement by the current administration includes an indefinite ban on refugees except for a very small group. Please read this message from the Church World Service and consider joining in these actions:

For generations, Americans have welcomed people who have fled violence and persecution around the world. Our refugee neighbors enrich our communities and make our country strong.
But right now, the administration continues to implement an indefinite refugee ban – only allowing a small number of South Africans to enter under “exceptions”. Tens of thousands of refugees who had been conditionally approved for resettlement – and in most cases have been through years of vetting and screening – remain stranded in dangerous conditions overseas.
In its executive order banning refugees, the Trump administration stated its desire that “state and local jurisdictions may have greater involvement” in the refugee program. Now, we’re calling on state and local elected leaders to sign a letter affirming that American communities not only want the #FreedomToWelcome refugees, but are made stronger because of them.
