The Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador (CISPES) is celebrating the judicial grant of release to house arrest for political prisoner Atilio Montalvo.
He is a signer of the 1992 Peace Accords who was unjustly arrested on charges of terrorism last year and imprisoned amid urgently declining health.
Montalvo is now in the hospital and working toward recovery.
The Viatorian Community expresses its solidarity with Montalvo and other political prisoners facing unjust detention, lack of due process, and inhumane treatment.
