featured seniors in high school as lectors, readers and singers, to name just a few of their roles.

The occasion was a special Mass of celebration and blessing, offered by Fr. Jason Nesbit, CSV, Pastor, but it also welcomed people in the congregation to extend their hands in blessing these young people.

Seniors took active roles in the Mass.

“May the Lord our God bless our graduating Seniors,” he said. “Your parish family will always be here for you, cheering for you and praying for you.

“And please come back and celebrate the Eucharist with us, whether you continue on here, or far away,” he added. “You are always welcome and here you will always find a home.”

Parishioners extend their arms in blessing

The senior blessing was the latest ‘youth-led Mass’ at the parish. Each month, teens lead these popular liturgies, taking active roles in the Mass.

“It is truly a beautiful Mass,” Fr. Jason adds, “and proves that the future of the Catholic Church is in good hands.”

The Mass also bears out a key pillar of the Viatorian Community. Viatorians around the world are committed to ‘raising up communities where faith is lived, deepened and celebrated.’
