Br. Michael Gosch, CSV, addressed the volunteers who attended a retreat day and luncheon, hosted by the Interfaith Committee for Detained Immigrants.

Br. Michael serves as coordinator for peace and justice initiatives for the Viatorian Community, but he also serves on the staff of ICDI as the point person for its post-detention accompaniment network.

He describes accompanying immigrants released from detention — with no place else to go — as Viatorians responding to their mission, to care for those who are “accounted of little importance.” But their charism resonates with many other faith communities, including the 17 others who support the work of ICDI.
