Learning about sustainable gardening as part of the care of God’s creation is a big part of hands-on education at many Viatorians schools, parishes and even its Province Center. However, at Cristo Rey St. Martin, where Viatorians are an endorsing community, students have taken it one step further with their pollinator garden.

“The Environmental Club has really been active in keeping the garden going all through COVID, and now it’s a ‘bee’utiful thing,” quips Preston Kendal, President of CRSM. “We’ve got a couple of beehives going, and this fall Environmental Club members are harvesting honey.”
