In a recent article, the University of Nevada at Las Vegas showcased Associate Kathy Underwood as “another example of a pioneering force whose work improves the experience for faculty, staff and students.” She arrived at UNLV nearly 22 years ago, as a family nurse practioner, and university officials now describe the Student Health Center, where she is executive director, as a “far different place.”
