Reflect on Immigration Reform with Sr. Simone Campbell, SSS

She is a religious leader, attorney and poet with extensive experience in public policy and advocacy for systemic change. Sr. Simone Campbell SSS

Sr. Simone Campbell, SSS, serves as executive director of NETWORK, and drew national attention as a speaker during the 2012 Democratic National Convention, when she described her activism as one of the “Nuns on the Bus.”

Now, she’s speaking in Chicago, during an event sponsored by Sisters and Brothers of Immigrants, and the 8th Day Center for Justice, both of which the Viatorians are active members.Sr. Simone Campbell speaking

Her working topic? Make Straight the Pathway: The Rough Road to Immigration Reform

The presentation takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 17 at the Catalyst-Maria Charter School, located at 6727 S. California Ave.

Register by May 6 to obtain a $20 pass. Otherwise, tickets at the door are $25. Pre-registered groups of 10 or more are $15. Pre-registered students, with an ID, are free.
