St. Viator Day 2011 Celebrations – Oct. 21, 2011 – Arlington Heights, Chicago, Las Vegas, Bogotá and Kyoto

Viatorians around the world celebrate their patron in many different ways. In Arlington Heights, Saint Viator High School students attend Mass before members of the Querbes Scholars program interview professed and lay associate Viatorians. In Chicago and Las Vegas, St. Viator parishes hold “Taste of St. Viator” festivals, celebrating the different cultures of parishioners. 50th anniversary of the Foundation of Colombia – Sept. 23, 2011 – Colegio San Viator, Bogotá, Colombia

Viatorians returned to Bogotá to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Foundation of Colombia. Fr. James Crilly, CSV, one of the three founding missionaries, returned for the milestone celebration. Earthquake in Haiti – January 12, 2010

The main building of the Viatorians in Haiti is the Villa Manrèse located in Port-au-Prince.  Villa Manrèse was destroyed in the earthquake and at least five employees and two guests were killed at the facility.  Please keep the people of Haiti in your prayers!

Vocation Film – The Search

The Search, filmed in 1956, was used for vocation recruitment to encourage men to choose a religious career with the Clerics of St. Viator. The first three photographs show the making of the film, while the others in the collection document the premiere night of the film held in Chicago on November 9, 1956.
