Teen Delegates Coming for the 2nd Annual Viatorian Youth Congress, Aug. 1 – 4
8/1/2011
Don’t look now, but nearly 40 high school students and 12 college interns from sites across the country where Viatorians serve, are coming together for a week of spiritual renewal --- and connection.
“The Viatorian Youth Congress is an opportunity for prayer, reflection and discussion about how we are all an important part of the Viatorian Mission,” says Fr. Corey Brost, CSV, spiritual director for the event. “It will allow these young people to see how they are connected to a much larger mission than just their parish or school.”
Students represent Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights; St. Patrick Parish in Kankakee; Maternity BVM Parish in Bourbonnais; St. Martin de Porres High School in Waukegan; Guardian Angel Cathedral and St. Viator Parish in Las Vegas; St. Thomas More Parish in Henderson, NV.
Viatorian adults also are coming from St. Viator Parish in Chicago and from St. Francis Xavier Church in Corozal Town, Belize. In all 70 members will attend the congress, which will be held both at the Techny Towers Retreat Center and at the Viatorian Province Center in Arlington Heights. |
