Bishop Jacques Berthelet, CSV, of the Diocese of Saint-Jean-Longueuil, Canada, ordained Br. Moises Mesh, CSV, and Br. Jason Nesbit, CSV, transitional deacons during a special Mass at Maternity BVM Church in Bourbonnais, Illinois on June 5, 2010.  Maternity BVM parish, the first permanent Viatorian ministry in the United States, was founded by the Viatorians from the Province of Canada in the mid-nineteenth century.

Br. Mesh, a graduate of the University of Belize, spent several years as a teacher and principal in the Corozal District of Belize before entering the Viatorian Community.  He has been assigned to St. Viator parish in Chicago, IL where he will serve his diaconate year while completing theological studies at Catholic Theological Union also located in Chicago.

Br. Nesbit, a graduate of Southern Illinois University, has worked as a pastoral associate at St. Francis Xavier parish in Belize and Maternity BVM parish in Bourbonnais, IL.  He has been assigned to Maternity BVM parish where he will serve his diaconate year while completing theological studies at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, IL.
