Bishop J. Peter Sartain, Bishop of Joliet, installed Fr. Daniel Belanger, CSV, as the twenty-first pastor of St. George parish in St. George, Illinois on December 19, 2009.  Fr. Belanger, who was ordained in 2007, began his pastorate in 2009 after pastoral and youth ministry in Bourbonnais, IL; Chicago, IL; Las Vegas, NV, and Belize, Central America.  In addition to serving as pastor to this community of 177 family parishioners, he serves as chaplain at Bishop McNamara Catholic High School in neighboring Kankakee, Illinois.  St. George is one of two rural parishes the community currently administers in the province.
