The Viatorian Community of the Henderson/Las Vegas region gathered at St. Viator Church in Las Vegas to witness the commitment of sixteen associates.
Jeanne Craig, Juliann Dwyer, Paul and Rosy Hartz, Dick Hofacker, Kim Martinez, Bridget Moore, and Clairmarie Slaveck made their first commitments as associates for a period of two years. All are actively involved in Viatorian apostolates. Jeanne visits homebound parishioners of St. Viator parish. Juliann is the Director of Religious Education at St. Thomas More parish. Paul volunteers at St. Viator parish while Rozy coordinates youth ministry at St. Viator parish. Dick visits the sick and serves as lector and Eucharistic minister at Guardian Angel Cathedral. Kim and Bridget continue the Viatorian presence at Bishop Gorman High School as Director of Campus Ministry and Assistant Director of Advancement respectively. Clairmarie serves as the business manager at Guardian Angel Cathedral.
Warren Craig, Marie Feeney, Loretta Gabby, Margery Gill, Jim and Marie May, Ken Rosania, and Marie Segal renewed their commitments as associates for a period of five years. Warren, Loretta, and Marie Segal are active in social, liturgical, and support ministries at St. Viator parish. Margery, Jim and Marie May, and Ken are actively involved at St. Thomas More in catechesis, RCIA and social ministries. Marie Feeney not only coordinates association in the area, she also visits the homebound and provides transportation for persons needing medical service.
As associates, these sixteen lay men and women collaborate with professed Viatorians in carrying out the mission begun by Fr. Querbes.
